Tungsten carbide is mainly used in various pumps to treat fluids containing solid particles, high-pressure or highly corrosive media, such as petroleum, mining, and construction etc industry . In these pumps, tungsten carbide are typically used to manufacture the most critical and wear-resistant core components, greatly improving their service life and reliability.

In Electric Submersible Pump ESP , tungsten carbide is mainly used for bearings and guide wheels etc wear parts to protect the impeller of the electric submersible pump and resist the wear and tear of the centrifugal pump caused by high sand content oil wells
